House Of Clare - About

House Of Clare is owned and operated by Clare Wright who single-handedly brings her creative visions to life in her studio on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

Clare's deep-rooted appreciation for heritage linens stems from her childhood, where she frequented car boot sales and flea markets in search of historical treasures. Since then Clare's textile collection has continued to grow and so has her passion for sewing.

“There is already abundance of fabrics available on our planet, enough to last life times, that is why I have made it my mission to utilise keepsake, vintage textiles and transform them into one of a kind pieces that will be cherished for years to come”

Clare originally was a self taught sewer, she has built up her skills and knowledge through studies, working in the fashion industries and being a machinist for many clothing and textile company's. I would like to respectfully acknowledge the Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) peoples and the Jinibara peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, in which I create, learn, work and live on. I pay my respects to their elders past, present and emerging and recognise their continued connection to country.
